Mechanical Maintenance Engineer



Our client is one of the UK's leading waste management, recycling and renewable energy companies and are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with welding and fabrication experience to join their team in Sheffield.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • Delivering both planned and reactive maintenance to a high standard and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensuring safe practice and undertaking risk assessments as and when required
  • Updating and Maintaining CMM systems
  • Assessing breakdowns and delivering advice and strategy
  • Delivering schedules, reports and relevant documentation
  • Increasing and monitoring plant reliability

Skills & Requirements
To be considered for this position you will need to have a recognised Level 3 NVQ/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar. You will have experience of working with low levels of supervision in a high-pressure production environment. Maintenance experience from within industries such as power generation, waste management, heavy process or industrial will be seen as beneficial.
Experience with conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, plant and process environments is required.
