Engine Maintenance Technician - Renewable Energy
£28,000 - £32,000 DoE plus benefits

We are currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Technician / Engine Maintenance Technician / Field Service Engineer, to carry out planned & reactive maintenance on a range of Landfill & CHP Gas Engines. Our client is a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector, with the opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team.
As an Engine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Planned & reactive maintenance on Landfill Gas sites
- Carrying out fault finding activities on the gas engines
- Performing remote start-ups of back-up engines if there is a breakdown
- Working as part of a team of Engineers, ensuring safe & efficient operation of the generating plant
- Ensuring health & safety is adhered to at all times
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this position, you must have a relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship / HNC / HND / NVQ / City & Guilds etc.). You should have experience carrying out maintenance on large reciprocating engines (Caterpillar, Perkins, Deutz, Jenbacher, Wartsila, or similar) and working on large process equipment (pumps, motors, etc.).
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a large company within the Power Generation sector. This position will be predominantly based in St Helens but could be mobile as and when required.
The package on offer for this role includes a salary in the region of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience, plus company benefits including company van, bonus scheme, pension & holidays.
