£55,000 Negotiable DOE

40Hour Monday - Friday

Our client is a polyolefin recycler, taking mixed hard plastics from leading waste management companies and putting them through a process of shredding, sorting and washing to produce a high quality polyethene and polypropylene, which will then be sold as a product for plastic manufacturing.
Having huge success, our client are now looking for a Head of Operations who will have a significant growth opportunity to Operations Director and a place on the Board.

Role Responsibilities:
As the Head of Operations, reporting to the CEO, your responsibilities will include but not be limited too;

  • To implement the right processes and practices across the company
  • To ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate and cost-effective way
  • To improve all operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • To purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee all warehouse efficiency
  • To manage all budgets and forecasts
  • To examine and monitor all financial data and to improve profitability
  • To create strategic and operational objectives as well as monitoring production KIPs
  • To maintain and manage the companies processes and ensure they main legally compliant
  • To recruit, train and supervise new and existing staff

Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate must have:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent within Business, Operations Management, Engineering or relevant field
  • WAMITAB Qualified
  • Mechanical Engineering background
  • Proven experience within an Operations Management or similar role
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects over £1 million
  • Experience with budgeting, financial principles and forecasting
  • Experience and knowledge within plastics and recycling
