We are currently seeking to recruit a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer / Engineering Graduate to become responsible for shift operation activities on a large CHP Power Plant in the Ruthin, Denbighshire area. Our client is in the Renewable Energy sector, & this opportunity is for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their shift teams with full training on Operations.
As an engineer responsible for the operations of CHP plant, you will be responsible for:
- Safe & Efficient operation of the CHP plant.
- Using the SCADA control system from the control room (manages steam systems, boilers, gas turbines etc)
- Monitoring daily safety & environmental performance ensuring operation within legal parameters.
- Supporting Maintenance as required
To be considered for this position, you must be degree qualified in mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience) & any work experience in the energy sector / power generation sector, process or related industrial environment would be very advantageous. Knowledge of technologies related to steam, boilers, gas turbines would be ideal plus strong numeracy & report writing skills required.
You must be flexible regarding travel in North Wales - a full UK driving licence is essential, as is the right to work in the UK. You must also be able & willing to work day & night shifts as part of this role as site operates 24/7.
The package on offer for this position includes an attractive base salary in the range of c£22,000 plus company benefits including pension etc.
