Fire Risk Assessor
Mobile / Home Based - Head Office Petersfield
We are currently recruiting for a motivated and self-disciplined individual to join a well-established and growing business providing a wide range of safety and compliance services UK wide within the public and private sector.
As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will visit active sites UK wide to conduct safety surveys and risk assessments for both fire and more general H&S requirements. With your time split between field based and home working, you will be responsible for a range of duties to include the following:
- Undertaking fire risk assessments in accordance with nationally recognised guidance in an appropriate format, to an accepted standard and in a timely manner
- Liaising with the fire safety administrator and head of fire risk management to deliver risk assessments in line with contractual requirements
- Liaising with sub consultants
- Attending client meetings when necessary
- Undertake peer review/validation of others work
- Provide technical advice to clients
- Manage the expectation of assigned clients
You will enjoy a large amount of flexibility in the completion of your duties, and as such a strong sense of self-discipline and personal organisation is required. Being focused on delivering the highest quality work within demanding deadlines and in a safety critical function, you will be personally invested in a job well done and aware at all times of the extreme level of responsibility your duties carry.
You will either currently hold or have demonstrable experience of working towards:
- NEBOSH General
- NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management
Given the mobile nature of the role you must hold a full UK driving licence, have access to your own vehicle and be comfortable travelling regularly with work, with the expectation of staying away from home for approximately 1 week per month. Flexibility and the ability to work independently while maintaining focus in the delivery of your duties is key.
