Field Service Engineer - Power Generation
Up to £40,000 plus benefits
Essex - Field based
We are currently seeking to recruit an electrically biased Field Service Engineer / Maintenance Engineer, to carry out electrical fault finding and diagnostics activities on a range of electrical generation plant. This is a field-based position covering multiple power generation sites in Essex & the midlands area.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Fault finding, trouble shooting, diagnostics on the electrical systems & equipment.
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of equipment including generators, reciprocating engines, gas plant, distribution systems, ancillary equipment etc.
- Operations and commissioning activities when required
- Working as part of a 1 in 4 call out rota (standby payments paid)
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this position, you should have a relevant electrical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, etc.) plus experience working within a similar environment such as the power generation / CHP / marine or similar sectors. As this is a field-based position, you must have a valid UK driving licence and must be eligible to work in the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation within the power generation sector! You will be working on a 40-hour week Monday to Friday, with the requirement to be on call on a 1 in 4 rota.
The package on offer for this position includes an attractive basic salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience), plus standby payments, call out payments, company van, fuel card, pension and private medical insurance.
