We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Technician to join a leading water utilities business in the South. Working from home, you will be responsible for operating, servicing and maintaining a wide variety of electrical equipment across various water treament sites. This includes both clean and waste water sites and working on pumps, motors, gas dosing equipment, PLC's, telemetry, and chemical analysers.
As Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of electrical equipment.
- Electrical fault-finding, reading and working from wiring diagrams, diagnostics and route cause analysis.
- Maintenance on PLCs, motors, inverter drives, etc.
- Testing and inspection
- Minimising downtime, ensuring plants run at optimum performance
- Other duties as required.
Candidates are expected to have an electrical maintenance background, underpinned by an industry qualification (NVQ/ BTECH/ C&G) and a working knowledge of maintenance practices including electrical fault-finding and diagnostics on PLC equipment etc.
Candidates will have demonstrable experience maintaining industrial electrical plant and equipment and a background working in a heavy process environment (ideally water treatment).
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have a flexible attitude to travel, call-out and overtime.
