Maintenance Fitter - Anaerobic Digestion

Dagenham

£40,000 to £42,700 DOE + benefits

4 on 4 off shift pattern

Introduction…

Astute are working with one of the market leaders in Food waste recycling through the Anaerobic Digestion process. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter, ideally located in or around the Dagenham area, to support with the operations and maintenance of all processes and equipment within the AD plant.

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, as a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  • To install and maintain equipment ensuring minimum downtime
  • Risk assessing all jobs before works begin
  • Complete all logs and job sheets as required
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations
  • Identifying training needs relevant to the job and participating in any training and development as required
  • Other duties as required



Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive Mechanical experience working in a continuous process environment
  • Familiarity with general factory maintenance practices
  • Prior experience in mechanical breakdowns
  • Be able to work to and meet deadlines
  • Previous experience working within AD is an advantage
