Introduction
We're currently looking to recruit a Deputy Plant Manager to assist with modifications to the existing plant and the installation and commissioning of new plant. As a Deputy Plant Manager, you will have prior knowledge of the refitting of nuclear submarines, nuclear facilities management experience and knowledge of safety case development and implementation on a nuclear site.
The Job
Reporting to the Head of Nuclear Operations Governance , you will be responsible for.
- Ensuring there is a valid safety case in place that covers full scope of intended operations, authorisation, and release of appropriate procedural for the conduct of facility maintenance and repair and a safe and secure working environment.
- Ensuring the upkeep of appropriate Operation Records and suitable Functional Oversight of the work being undertaken.
- Be a Duly Appointed Person that will be critical to the delivery of arrangements intended to ensure compliance with Site Licence Conditions and the term of environment permits.
- Ensure the design intent of the facility is met and maintained and that there is an awareness and enforcement of the operating regime within a facility by adhering to Operating Rules, Operating Boundaries and Operating Instructions.
The candidate
Candidates will have the following skills and experience.
- STS Nuclear Plant Fundamentals Course - Module 1
- STS Nuclear Familiarisation Course - Module 2
- STS Nuclear Practitioner Course (Modules 3 and 4)
- Nuclear Site Safety Justification Course
- Submarine Quality Assurance Course
- Relevant engineering degree, Chartered Engineer status or significant experience in relevant engineering discipline and NVQ level 4
- Devonport Safety Management Course
- DAP/ASQEP Course
- Be eligible to be security cleared to as DV or SC level
