Astute are proudly partnered with a leading specialist in the production of both electrical and optical fibre cables for telecoms and energy use. We are looking for a contracts manager to support within their high voltage UK business.

Roles & Responsibilities
As an Contracts Manager , you will be responsible for:

  • Working with projects both from a commercial and contractual preceptive from start to finish, working alongside the project delivery team to ensure objectives are hit.
  • Managing a team, varying from quantity surveyors to administration
  • Developing procurement and commercial strategies to ensure value for money
  • Working closely with clients, internal staff, and subcontractors to make them aware of contractual requirements on different projects.
  • Produce monthly report to key managers
  • Working closely with procurement and bids to provide feedback on costing issues and cost saving opportunities.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Commercial experience
  • Problem solving & negotiation skills
  • Experience of working with construction contracts
  • Previous background in budget & cost management
  • Excellent IT Skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Short travel to UK and European based plants and customer sites.

Salary & Package
What's on offer for this exciting role:

  • Competitive salary
  • Pension (4% employee/ 8% employer)
  • 39 hrs per week
  • 25 days + BH
