Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Transport Manager to join one of the industry leaders in Hazardous Waste Management Services across the UK. Supporting them at their site in Paisley, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and compliance transport operations are running at all times out of the site.
What you will be doing
As the Transport Manager, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Running the day to day transport activities across a fleet of vehicles
- Contribute to the delivery of targets, cash flow and budgets
- Manage the legal requirements and monitoring of tachographs and drivers
- Report on results, production, and driver feedback
- Ensure all transport activities always operate within company policy and legal requirements
- Staff training and development
- Regular monitoring and delivery of customer service targets
- Ensure the depot operates within company assurance procedures
- Undertake any reasonable task of duties required
What you will need
- Background within Waste Management/ Hazardous Waste Management
- Appropriate Health and Safety Qualification - IOSH, COSHH
- CPC Certificate
- Proven experience within a Transport Supervisory role
- ADR Awareness
