Introduction
My client is a leading company in sales, marketing and distribution of specialty chemicals and ingredients. An opportunity has arisen to join the Supply Chain & HSEQR team, as a HSEQ Coordinator. The person will report to the HSEQR Manager and play an integral role in enhancing customer engagement. More specifically they will be supporting the commercial business teams in assessing and completing quality and regulatory enquiries and questionnaires from our customers.
The Supply Chain & HSEQR team provide a wide range of operational services across the full spectrum of the business. Their purpose is to develop and deliver effective and sustainable supply chain solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, manage risk throughout the value chain, drive continual improvement and help develop our sustainability credentials for the benefit of our customers, suppliers and all our partners.
Roles & Responsibilities
As the HSEQ Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing and completing quality & regulatory customer enquiries and questionnaires.
- Working closely with the commercial business teams and the global regulatory questionnaire centre, to facilitate enhanced customer satisfaction and help build document management resources.
- Building strong and effective relationships with customers, suppliers and internal colleagues.
- Focus on accuracy & precision in all communication given the nature of work.
- The role will support multiple market sectors including Food & Nutrition (majority), Pharmaceutical, Personal Care and Industrial.
- Supporting the HSEQR Manager in executing the broader strategic agenda including regulatory compliance, risk management, quality management, environmental management and sustainability.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Professional approach, customer focused and with a strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Effective organisational and time management skills.
- Previous experience within a business function that manages regulatory, quality and/or sustainability requirements. An understanding of one or more of these would be an advantage.
- Previous experience within the Food industry and/or Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Personal Care, Industrial (any highly regulated industries) would be an advantage.
- Previous experience of distribution and/or sales & marketing would be an advantage. We believe this represents an excellent opportunity to join a multi-disciplined operations team, that play a vital role in the effective running of the IMCD business.
