Project Engineer - Circular Economy
£50,000 - £60,000 + benefits

Astute are proudly partnered with an exciting and growing renewable energy and materials producer, established in the Energy from Waste sector, our partner specialises in circular economy, energy from waste and materials from waste production. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager / Project Delivery Consultant to join their growing team during this exciting phase of our journey towards a cleaner future.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in project engineering and successful delivery of energy from waste and/or processing plant or bulk material handling equipment projects - leading initial designs, creating BoMs, costings, submitting proposals, leading acceptance tests, reviewing specifications.

Role and Responsibilities:
The key responsibility of this role will be the successful progression of technical projects, carrying each new plant refurbishment or build from concept through to commissioning working closely with process engineers and other teams along the way. Other duties will include:

· Reviewing specifications, creating 3D drawings and modelling, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams/flowcharts to visualise the project.
· From here, determine the required machinery or components, sourcing costings and lead times to compile Bill of Materials (BoMs) and other costings.
· Following expansion requests, attend site visits across our facilities to assess material or infrastructure needs to complete the expansion. Conducting a feasibility study if necessary.
· Submit proposals to the relevant management teams once your proposal is complete.
· From here you will be responsible for carrying the project to delivery, installation and commissioning where you will oversee the factory acceptance testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
· A proven background in project engineering, design, delivery or management. It is also essential to have experience working in industrial backgrounds such as in bulk material handling, quarrying, energy from waste, recycling or processing plants.
· Degree/Higher Education qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a similar engineering capacity.
· Competent in the use of CAD packages such as AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar. Additional competency in the use of modelling software would be an advantage but not essential.
· Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and work as part of a team.
· Strong leadership and people management skills
· Ability to travel is essential to this role. You will be based in Dudley but likely to travel to other plants across the UK and EU(expenses paid!).
· A Full UK Driving Licence is essential to this role.

Salary & Package:
· Salary of £50,000 - £60,000
· Company Car + Expensed Travel
