Site Operative
£22,699 + £2500 Shift Allowance


We are currently looking for a Site Operative to join one of the leading Waste Treatment and Carbon Capture specialists in the UK. Working at their Aggregate Facility in Avonmouth, the Site Operator will be responsible for operating, inspecting and maintaining fixed and mobile plant on-site involved in the movement, loading and unloading of aggregate material across the site and all housekeeping and hands-on duties as required.

The Role

Working as a Site Operative, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating, inspecting, maintaining and cleaning fixed and mobile plant on-site.
  • Carrying out activities to move, sort and segregate aggregate materials across the facility.
  • Monitoring production lines and carrying out housekeeping duties as required.
  • Hands-on duties loading and unloading of materials for transport to and from the site.
  • Feeding and operating aggregate screening plant for processing.
  • Monitor and manage stockpiles and stock control of aggregate material.
  • Other duties as required.

This role involves working a 3 rotating shift basis covering a Monday- Friday and including NIGHT shifts rota. Please only apply if suitable. Shifts are: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10am, 10pm-6am.

The Candidate

To be considered you should have experience in the below:

  • Previous experience operating in a fast-paced production environment such as Aggregates, Waste Management, FMCG or
  • Operation of a Loading Shovel in a previous position.
  • Valid plant operation tickets or in-house training is required- Ideally ITSSAR or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience working in a site-based role.
  • Good knowledge of Material Handler Machinery
  • Flexibility to work across a 3 rotating shift pattern and any overtime as needed.
