Our client is currently looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team based in Fareham. The successful candidate will be working for a global leading supplier of fibre optic measurement systems for the renewables industry.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Writing technical quality documents including PPAP and PFMA in line with the Quality Management System.
  • Carrying out internal process, compliance and external customer audits.
  • Identifying quality trends, risks and non-conformances.
  • Identifying root causes and providing recommendations on how to counteract and correct actions.
  • Maintaining and monitoring internal and external quality using a CAPA and 8D processes.
  • Leading and educating function teams in structured problem solving.
  • Identifying, quantifying and proposing product and processes improvement.
  • Preparing technical reports for internal and external communication.

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Audit Qualification.
  • ISO9001 and/or ISO45001 experience.
  • Formal Engineering or Quality qualification, minimum HND.
  • Electronic knowledge.
  • Green belt or higher lean qualification is desirable.
  • Desire to learn and understand company products to a level of technical detail and appreciate the customer applications and how they influence integration and deployment of products.
  • Computer literate and enjoys communicating, report writing and summarising data to present to the team using Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience applying tools in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to take the initiative and make sound judgements related to quality.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
