In Service Support Project Manager

£40k/£45k, Benefits including 45 days annual leave!


I have an excellent opportunity for a In Service Support Project Manager to join a well-established defence sector engineering firm with a long history of designing, manufacturing and maintaining specialist equipment for RN surface and subsurface platforms.

As the In Service Support Project Manager, you will be responsible to lead coach and develop a team to deliver an exemplar equipment availability across all customers by delivering to time cost and quality requested spares, maintenance, on site support, technical support and services. Additional responsibilities will include:-
Lead and coach a small team of Customer Project Co-ordinators and Engineers
Accountable for all in service activities and related customer support reporting status of order and customer sat as required.
Develop and implement effective in service support strategies and plans in-line with the overall business strategy and contracts.
Lead effective customer Spares and Availability contract meetings identifying issue resolutions and improvements
Manage customer escalations for issues and concerns and strive to continually improve
Provide feedback to new design contracts with respect to Servicibilty
Ensure that robust contractual and project baseline control management is adopted to manage change effectively and deliver an appropriate level of business management reporting.
Identification and provisioning of all required spares, modification kits, tooling, support and test equipment, and maintenance facility requirements.

To be considered for the In Service Support Project Manager, candidate must demonstrate:-

Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence others, including building and maintaining effective relationships with multiple stakeholders both internal and external.
Demonstrable professional knowledge of working in a complex regulated engineering environment.
Educated to Degree Level
Proven track record of managing contracts/projects to Time Cost Quality
Strong presentation skills, confident speaker and professionally presented.
Attention to detail, forward planning and budgeting / financial knowledge.
Working knowledge of risk and opportunity management and lessons learned processes.
Commercial and business management awareness.
