As a Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design and verification of packaged electrical equipment, circuit configuration and the layout of racked Power Systems.  A major part of this position will focus on the application of Variable Speed Drives (VSD/VFD)  

Your main focus will be on how electrical systems can be packed into containerised units, therefore a knowledge cubical design and cooling principles is desirable.  

Demonstrable experience and/or knowledge in the following areas will be a key advantage:-

* Commissioning Experience

Our client own and operate major Power Plant in Tanzania and require a Plant Manager/ General Manager  to oversee the timely and cost effective provision of Gas to plant from major Gas production facilities nearby. Based in offices in Dar Es Salam, Tanzania\'s largest city, you will be the liaison between the major gas companies and our client.

You\'ll be tasked with ensuring that Gas Processing Plant and Transportation Pipelines are operated with optimum efficiency, environmental performance and safety in accordance with the requirements of the Project Agreements, Good Utility Practice and all applicable legal regulations.  

Qualified in an Engineering subject, you\'ll demonstrate substantial experience in the technical and commercial aspects of the Gas Industry and will have knowledge of working in a regulated market. Also experienced re-engineering operations and procedures and formulating policy, you\'ll be an experienced people manager who has ideally lived and worked in emerging markets. 

The role is responsible for the commercial and technical management of the Gas Infrastructure Assets.  It has a strategic focus and is involved with high level business decisions and planning. The main responsibilities include;

* Oversee environmental and HSE compliance of the Gas Infrastructure Assets
* Develop, establish and ensure effective and efficient implementation of policies and standards for the operation and maintenance of the Gas Infrastructure Assets.
* Manage relationships, rights and obligations under the company\'s key commercial agreements and the laws of Tanzania in relation to the company\'s Gas Infrastructure Assets
* Develop and manage budgets for operation and maintenance of the Gas Infrastructure Assets in line with budget and levels of authority.
* Manage all aspects of compliance under the Gas Agreement and TPCC Gas Sales Agreement.
* Monitor industry legislative and regulatory developments in relation to activities in the gas sector, develop and implement strategic changes in order to maintain compliance and maximise business performance.
* Deliver training on gas related topics to the wider team 
* Support business development activities and expansion of its Gas infrastructure Assets
* Liaise with other gas industry stakeholders to ensure a leadership role in guiding sector developments.

We are seeking an experienced Project/Service Engineer with a bias in Controls and Instrumentation to join a leading developer of Renewables to manage the plant availability for their portfolio of Hydro Generation sites in Northern Scotland. You must have a broad experience of Electrical &#038; Mechanical, High Voltage and Civils and be familiar with managing the services associated with the up keep of similar Power Generation/Rotating Plant.

Providing Operational and Maintenance support to the Hydro and Renewables portfolio in Northern Scotland, you will ensure that plant achieves production targets, monitor and address performance issues and oversee commissioning and fault finding. This will involve managing contractors extensively, acting as Technical Officer for the O&#038;M contracts and controlling substantial budgets, whilst reporting directly to Senior Management.

You must have substantial knowledge of SCADA and Plant Control Systems, PLC fault finding and programming skills, experience in Hydraulics and HV Electrical Systems up to 33KV. A good working knowledge of Health &#038; Safety and Safe Systems of Work as well as the implications of Environmental Regulations. You must also have demonstrable experience in compiling technical specifications, and have good commercial acumen including budget control and contract management.

Ideally candidates will be HNC (or equivalent) qualified in a suitable Engineering discipline such as Controls &#038; Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering. To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate experience and capabilities in all the requirements above. Candidates must have a full, clean, UK driving license and be willing to travel to various sites in rugged terrain.

The role attracts a salary of up to £35K and includes £700pm car allowance, 10% annual bonus, 25 days holiday, family healthcare, and pension.

Our Client, Cory Environmental Ltd, are currently in the process of developing an Energy from Waste (EFW) plant in Belvedere, SE London, which will be one of the largest in Europe.  This site will be able to process 670,000 tonnes of waste a year.  The site will supply up to 66MW of electricity which will be exported to the grid.

Vital to the successful operation of such a prestigious facility is the Graduate Chemist/ Compliance Assistant who, reporting to the Compliance Manager, will be responsible for ensuring the plant operates safely and complies with strict Heath, Safety and Environmental constraints associated with the chemistry dependant systems and processes.  

The Graduate Chemist/ Compliance Assistant will also be responsible for: -

* Assisting in setting up the site&#x2019;s Health, Safety and Environmental Quality management Systems.
* The upkeep and maintenance of the Plant Laboratory
* Analysis of raw materials and samples in the Plant Laboratory &#x2013; Lime deliveries, carbon etc
* Taking samples from and monitoring plant such as flue gas treatment equipment, boilers and water treatment plant.
* Assist in implementation of an Environmental Health surveillance monitoring programme for site staff this will include a dust monitoring programme.
* Undergo Health Safety Environmental and Quality system training and assist in ensuring compliance with Cory Environmental IMS system
* Assist with other projects as required &#x2013; liaise with contractors as directed.

To be considered you should have recently finished a Degree in Chemistry and have a keen interested in Waste Management/ Power Generation.

You will be reporting to their Regional Service Manager who is resident in Scotland and at times be working alongside them.

Routine maintenance of gas fuelled generators performing oil, filter, spark plug changes to battery conditioning employing logical fault finding techniques working in digital control panels to top end engine maintenance.

To be successful you should be a mechanical engineer that understands combustion principles relative to internal combustion engines with electrical abilities used to engine/generator servicing that can work safely in a control panel &#038; adjust PLC&#x2019;s for fuel trim routines to maximise electrical &#038; heat output.

Typical installations will be found within large hotel &#038; supermarket chains, small hospitals, leisure centres, any site that has an electrical &#038; heat demand with units ranging from 130kW to 2MW of electrical generation.

CHP systems encompass medium speed engines operating as gen sets running on natural gas &#038; bio-gas from renewable sources and as part of your product training you will receive gas accreditation certification to work on gas fuelled plant. You will be supplied with a commercial vehicle, fuel card, credit card, lap top &#038; work clothes together with specialist tools. They PPP medical cover, Life Assurance and 4% of salary to a nominated pension provider and a non taxable allowance of £100 per month to cover vehicle washing! In addition, there will bne a limited amount of overtime and typical eanings should be £30-32,000.

Vital to the successful operation of such a prestigious facility is the Technical Stock Controller who, reporting into the Maintenance Manager, will be ultimately responsible for making sure critical spares and equipment are readily available to the Maintenance and Operations staff when required.

The successful candidate&#x2019;s first task will be to set up and catalogue a new Stores utilising a computer based stock management system, organising the layout of equipment so that it&#x2019;s readily available when required and in line with industry best practices.

You will then be responsible for: -

* Preparing tools and equipment ready for Maintenance Staff ahead of scheduled work.

* Monitoring and re-ordering spares as required to maintain efficient stock levels.  

* Negotiating with suppliers where possible to keep costs low.

* Maintaining a clean, well organised Stores.

* Keeping accurate records.

The Assistant Plant Operator&#x2019;s time will be spent between a modern control room and the plant itself operating materials handling plant, waste heat recovery boilers, a steam turbine, a generator, various pumps, compressors, motors and much more whilst helping monitor pressures, fuel loads, temperatures, emissions and all other elements of the process ensuring that what&#x2019;s displayed on the DCS in the control room is a true representation of what&#x2019;s happening on plant 

Whilst on shift, in addition to manning the control room, you will: -

Carry out 1st line maintenance tasks where practicable

To be successful you must be capable of working on your own initiative and be capable of supervising a small team of field based staff servicing, operating, repairing and overhauling their range of installed gas fuelled engine driven generator sets on client sites.

Ideally you will be experienced with CHP plant &#038; equipment or come from an HGV or Construction Plant to Marine engineering background with working knowledge/experience of MTU; Caterpillar; Scania &#038; Deutz engines.

You'll be tasked with ensuring that Gas Processing Plant and Transportation Pipelines are operated with optimum efficiency, environmental performance and safety in accordance with the requirements of the Project Agreements, Good Utility Practice and all applicable legal regulations.

I am looking for a Waste Compliance Manager to join one of the UK's leading Waste Management Companies to cover their sites based in the West Midlands.

Reporting to the Head of Operations you will manage the compliance issues relating to waste acceptance and the Duty of Care at each of the Companies sites including updates to legislative changes relating to waste acceptance. 

You will also be responsible for a number of other key tasks including:
Audit waste acceptance procedures at each location (including head office) to ensure compliance to site permits/waste  management licences. 
To identify potential opportunities to maximise the value that can be extracted from the range of waste permissible under the waste management licences/permits. 
Update CE procedures with legislative changes relating to waste acceptance and compliance and provide the relevant training. 
Manage contaminated soils and difficult waste resource to meet total budgeted sales revenue with enhanced return per m 3 across CE. 
Oversee the Duty of Care compliance at the weighbridges, to include carrier registrations and waste transfer notes. 
Provide support for and manage the Technical Customer Services Advisor. 
Liaise with the Environment Agency and other relevant bodies in identifying related issues and problem solving. 
Manage laboratory requirements to enable provision of detailed, accurate waste analyte reporting. 
Manage the assessment of technical wastes and liaise with commercial staff to enable quotations to be produced. 
Assist with permit applications/variations. 
Work with Technical Customer Services Advisor to audit waste producers.

To be successful you should be educated to a Degree level (or equivalent) in an Environmental subject and have a suitable background within the Waste Management Industry, ideally from an Environmental Support role or possibly from the Environment Agency. An excellent understanding of WM2 guidance for contaminated waste soil classification along with experience in Contaminated Land Assessment, Waste Management Licences, Permits and Exemptions is also essential. A CoTC qualification would also be advantageous along with CIWM membership.

You must hold a Full UK Driving License as travel to other sites will be required.

You'll be using Solidworks as the primary CAD package, but the Engineering Manager appreciates the strong synergy that the package has with Catia V5, SolidEdge and Inventor so if you've been using any of these packages, and have a good mix of mechanical design skills and electrical appreciation, they're willing to consider you!

Each customer has their own idea of what the product should look like which certainly makes life interesting for the design team! It's primarily small scale design in 3D that you'll be tasked with, along with some 2D work using AutoCAD. You'll be integrating plastic mouldings, circuit boards and buttons!

You'll take complete ownership of projects, working closely with customers to develop a bespoke solution which fulfills their needs from initial conception to production. You'll define product specifications and design / model new product initiatives.

Working from a modern control room you will utilise a DCS (Distributed Control System) to operate plant including materials handling plant, waste heat recovery boilers, a steam turbine, a generator, various pumps, compressors, motors and much more whilst monitoring pressures, fuel loads, temperatures, emissions and all other elements of the process. You will also be required to operate and monitor plant locally out on site by manually reading instrumentation to check pressures and levels and operating valves, carrying out isolations etc.

Whilst on shift, in addition to manning the control room, you will: -

Undertake joint responsibility for Health and Safety on site as part of a team

You will have overall responsibility for the growth of the Energy and Carbon services - Renewable Energy, Carbon Management, Sustainability and Energy Efficiency as well as specific responsibility for winning and delivering a workload within their own specialist discipline(s). You will also be required to work closely with other disciplines within the company, to maximise business development opportunities and ensure effective cross-selling of synergistic disciplines and services offered by our client.

To be successful you will need to have proven capabilities in both commercial and technical growth, development and management of a comparable Energy and Carbon service/team, ideally within a consultancy environment coupled with strong technical/project delivery capabilities within a relevant area of energy consulting.

If you have demonstrable experience of the above a Senior Reliability Engineer will be available with a higher basic and genuine earnings potential to £50,000 &#038; beyond.

Our client's Asset Management department delivers expert condition monitoring (CM), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and Computer Maintenance &#038; Management System (CMMS) solutions. These are combined to deliver improvements in asset performance and forms part of a continuous improvement programme and have developed state-of-the-art hardware and software solutions to enable real-time machine monitoring and performance analysis to improve the reliability of critical rotating equipment. These extend traditional condition monitoring techniques using data gathering by handheld devices. Reporting in to the Site Manager you will be maintaining large Plant Equipment including Diesel Generators, Hoppers, Compactors, Dollies, Container Cranes, Pumps, Hydraulics and Pneumatics. Other tasks will involve general Electrical Maintenance around the site such as electric barriers, lighting etc.

To be considered for this role you must have experience of maintaining both Static and Mobile Plant equipment along with a minimum of City &#038; Guilds or equivalent qualification in an Electrical discipline and 17th Edition Electrical qualification. Health and Safety is paramount at all times so awareness of Site H&#038;S Procedures regarding PPE and Moving Plant is an essential requirement. This role would suit a candidate with experience of working within an environment such as HGV / Marine / FMCG / Production / Print Press etc. You will also require a full UK driving license as a Company Van will be provided for travel to other sites if required.

Based on an hourly wage of up to £14.10 depending upon experience (£29,328 working a basic 40 hour week) and working a two shift pattern - 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday with the potential for overtime. You will also receive an additional London Weighting allowance of £19.04 per week, a Tool Allowance of £7.45 per week and an additional attendance allowance of £8.45 per day for completing a 5 day working week (Mon - Fri) which will equate to a salary approaching £33K with the potential for additional overtime.

Based in Inverness, you will have demonstrable experience in large Power Plant Asset Management, ideally Wind Farms, and be familiar with the day-to-day Engineering challenges as well as Health &#038; Safety and Commercial issues such as Land Management.

As part of the Operations and Asset Management Team you will be responsible for the delivery of Wind Farms that are both technically sound and commercially viable, and adhere to both planning and leasing contractual obligations. You will be tasked with the efficient Operations and Maintenance of Plant during Construction and Commissioning including the development of Maintenance strategies such as Condition Monitoring and Planned Maintenance procedures. You must be familiar with the management of sub-contractors across multiple sites and provide a single point of for all technical and day-to-day commercial issue that may arise. Health and Safety is of the upmost importance and you must therefore champion H&#038;S principles on sites including regulatory compliance and the implementation of effective Health &#038; Safety Management systems such as Safe Systems of Work and/or Wind Turbine Safety Regulations (WTSR).

To be successful in this role you must have a suitable qualification in a relative engineering field such as Mechanical or Electrical disciplines. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage the Operations and Maintenance of large Power Plant across multiple sites including Safety and Contractor Management and leading meetings with Contractors as well as championing Health and Safety and/or Safe Systems of work. Please note that there will be a car allowance of £8,400 which you would be expected to spend on a suitable 4X4 vehicle due to the need to travel off road. Wind Farm Asset Management experience is of particular interest but not essential.

You will also coordinate special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the Operations function and will be key in the implementation of business decisions and strategies at all levels within the company.

To be successful in this role you must be technically and commercially aware of the type of industry you will be working in and have a passion and drive to succeed within a fast pasted operational/project function.

This includes planned and unplanned maintenance and diagnostics on refrigeration, air compressors, boilers, water and effluent treatment plant and other factory utility systems associated with site services. 

The candidate should be a qualified or time served multi skilled maintenance technician holding a relevant mechanical or electrical Engineering qualification and have experience of plant and factory maintenance.  Ex services / armed forces personnel with relevant experience (perhaps on ship or submarine propulsion systems will be considered).  

This permanent position is day work covering Monday to Friday (with a flexible work attitude required) with weekend cover in a Rota system.

Located near Telford, Shropshire.
The package on offer to the successful applicant is worth a salary in the region of £24,000 to £26,000 plus good benefits package.

A large gas fired power station in South Lincolnshire is currently seeing to recruit an experienced Shift Team Leader/ Operations Team Leader/ Shift Charge Engineer to lead a team of technicians responsible for the 24 hour operation of the modern power plant. 
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Shift Team Leader will lead a team of Operations Technicians from a control room responsible for monitoring and operating the plants gas turbines, waste heat recovery boilers, steam turbines, generators and all other balance of plant effectively so as to hit operational targets with the highest regard for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
The successful candidate will be a Senior Authorised Person on site and as such will take additional responsibility for issuing permits to work as well as carrying out HV isolations and switching, previous SAP experience would be a distinct advantage.

To be considered you should have Steam Generating experience and be fully up to speed with Boiler technology, Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Water Treatment, Heat Exchangers, etc and be qualified to HND level in an appropriate Engineering discipline.

The package on offer to the successful candidate includes a salary (inclusive of shift allowance) of up to £50,000 + Bonus, Pension, Private Health Care and Health Club Membership.
