Our client is a recognised leader in the design and manufacture of their products Reporting directly to the Quality, Health and Safety Manager, your role will invole managing Supplier performance improvement and procurement engineering, reviewing supplier test and qualification data for acceptability.
Working closely with the Purchasing Manager, you will be ensuring clarity and completeness of product definition and quality requirements for purchased products, reviewing supplier test and qualification data for acceptability, Reviewing procedures for handling supplied material to ensure compliance with requirements and
Management of non-conforming product, ensuring supplier root cause investigation and appropriate corrective action is taken.
You will need to have experience of Supplier quality audits, the preparation and reporting of Quality data related to manufacturing and product quality.
Other tasks may include:
Customer complaint tracking, Investigation, Reporting, Monitoring, analysis of field returns and preparation of investigation reports, Development of internal corrective action plans and continuous improvement plans and definition of Corrective Actions for QMS Non-Compliances / QMS Improvements, tracking and close-out of same.
Ensuring that the Quality Department continues to operate and maintain ISO9001 Quality Management Systems in accordance with current policy and procedures.
Internal Auditing of QMS system for ongoing ISO9001 Registration maintenance and for internal continuous improvement purposes.
Participating in product compliance reviews against internal / customer Product Quality / Performance specifications during
manufacture and at Pre-Shipment stage
Product Development Process: Representation of Quality department in FMEA, Design Reviews, and Product Compliance Reviews.
Personal Profile
Technically competent, preferably with experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Preferably with a strong background in management of suppliers and supplied material.
Good team player, with experience of working as part of a small multifunctional teams.
Analytical problem solver, well-skilled in data analysis and presentation.
Able to recognise and resolve problems efficiently.
A confident communicator at all organisational levels.
Likely to be Degree Qualified in a technical discipline with significant experience in Quality.
Based in the UK headquarters in Hedge End, Southampton, paying £30,000 to £38,000 per annum.
