Energy from Waste
The Energy from Waste technical recruitment team has a mix of experienced recruitment consultants and engineers with power generation experience, but they all share a common desire for the sector. Their challenge is to keep abreast of the latest technologies, as exciting new methods of developing energy from waste are created. We work with the biggest Energy from Waste/ Waste to Energy Operators, through to the relatively small, but technologically innovative companies looking into alternative methods. We partner with companies who are involved in the sector as Clients, Technology Providers, Consultancies and EPC Contractors.
Our experience and expertise covers both UK and International assignments in the following technologies:
- Mass Burn Incineration/ Energy Recovery
- Gasification
- Pyrolisis
- Anaerobic Digestion (AD)
- Mechanical & Biological Treatment (MBT)
Some of our key projects within Energy from Waste have been to ‘crew-up’ complete new build facilities with a full compliment of O&M staff. Technical recruitment assignments have been successfully completed in all areas in the UK.
Key Projects: New Build £350m 575k tpa EfW plant - RRRL
ASTUTE were appointed by the stakeholders for the UK’s largest and newest Energy from Waste plant to deliver a recruitment “crewing-up” service for 49 staff positions on the new facility. Initially the management were recruited and then the Operations & Maintenance Teams, along with support staff. The service has been successfully delivered with all personnel recruited on time as per the project plan. The calibre of candidates identified and presented has been of the highest level and over 95% of staff have been recruited from the local area, without a need to bring people in from different parts of the UK or overseas – which was a major concern for the Client.
