Operations Trainer - CCGT Power Generation

A leading player in Power Generation is seeking a CCGT Power Station Operations Technician or Team Leader who can take on an exciting new role within the company’s Learning and Development department. You will use your experience working on a CCGT Power Station to develop, support and deliver training to staff on existing Power Plants, and also for new build projects. Please note this is a day working role.

This is a key strategic role, and is vital at a time when the UK Power Industry is seeing major investment in plant, technology and people. You will work closely with the Operations Training Manager, to deliver training to Operations staff, in groups, and also to individuals. Based primarily in Didcot, Oxfordshire, you will travel within the UK to Power Stations to deliver training, and will be given a car allowance and all business mileage will be covered.

Part of your role will be to review and update existing training, as well as developing new and innovative ways to deliver training. You will manage the quality of courses and material and work with various departments to prepare new entrant operators for new build facilities. The role would suit someone from an Electrical, Mechanical or C&I background.

You’re likely to have worked for one of the major players in the UK Power industry in Power Plant Operations, and full training will be provided in appropriate skills and technology areas. You’ll need to be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, who can communicate effectively and also work well under pressure.

The role is based primarily in Didcot, Oxfordshire, with UK travel to deliver on site Power Plant training. The base salary is likely to be in the region of £35-37K + £400 a month car allowance + Business Mileage + c15% annual bonus + Relocation Package + Healthcare + Excellent Pension scheme.
