Nov 2010 - Biomass recruitment contract award
Dalkia BioEnergy has awarded Astute Technical Recruitment the contract to recruit all the staff at its new biomass plant at Chilton near Durham. The Plant, a £40m build which is due to become operational in Quarter One, 2011, will generate 17.5MWe from the burning of c120kt of wood chip each year.
The contract award further strengthens Astute’s position as a major player in the Energy sector, and more specifically in the provision of the “crewing up” service – recruiting significant numbers of technical staff at the commissioning of a new Energy plant.
Astute’s Managing Director, Terry Buckel, commented; “We’re delighted to be supporting Dalika BioEnergy on the Chilton Biomass project. We’ve demonstrated recently with Cory’s Riverside Energy from Waste project that we’re skilled at crewing-up major new Power plants, and believe our track record and technical expertise went a long way to securing this project. We’re full steam ahead, sourcing a range of Mechanical, Electrical and Controls and Instrumentation Engineers, Operators and Technicians.”
The campaign is being handled by Terry Buckel who can be contacted on 02392 221 600 or terry@astutetechnical.co.uk and all roles will be advertised on www.astutetechnical.co.uk
