Mar 2011 - New consultants drive growth in Waste and Nuclear sectors
Power and Waste Management recruitment specialist Astute Technical Recruitment has experienced good growth in the Waste management and Nuclear sectors in the first quarter of 2011 following the recruitment of additional recruitment consultants at the end of 2010. Chris Jones (waste management) and Mick Hughes (nuclear) both joined Astute at the turn of the year and have been instrumental in growing both areas of the business.
Terry Buckel, Managing Director of Astute Technical Recruitment said “2010 was a busy year for ASTUTE and we took the opportunity to increase our capability in the waste management and nuclear sectors with the hire of Chris and Mick who are both experienced technical recruiters. In the first quarter of 2011 we have seen excellent growth from the waste management sector in particular driven by companies’ need to be ever more efficient in their waste management strategy.”
Chris Jones commented “I am really pleased to have contributed to the growth of Astute’s waste management business this quarter and have enjoyed working with the professional clients and candidates in this sector. I have over fifteen years of professional and technical recruitment experience and it has been invaluable in understanding customer’s demands in a fast moving market. While clients prefer candidates who have worked in the industry, I have discovered that many skills are transferable and candidates with chemistry, manufacturing and packaging experience can find a good career in the waste management sector.”
